Fill weight – The more feather in a quilt, the greater its ability to capture your body heat, and thus, the warmer the quilt. Our duck feather quilt is made to 3 blanket warmth or 400 fill power.

All season quilt – Feather is excellent insulator and can be used all year. Keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.

Threat count – This is the number of threads per square inch. A higher count provides a softer and more durable cover. It also keeps dirt from getting in and keeps feather from sneaking out of your quilt. All our quilts are made with high thread count, feather proof fabric

Baffle construction – This type of construction refers to sewn in cloth walls to keep the feather from shifting and clumping. Without baffle design you can get cold spots where there is stitching and no feather present. Keep in mind that not all quilts are constructed with baffling.

Hypo-allergenic – Feather that has gone through a series of steps to remove all the impurities, dirt and dander, will be noted as hypo-allergenic or allergy free. Most people are not allergic to feather, but rather, to the impurities within the Feather. Not all feather quilts are hypoallergenic.
